I don't really understand it, but the wall is busy, while being quite simplistic to look at. I think that adds weight to your description about her being untouchable.

As for the colours, I like them and they work nicely with the character .

The scan you've used is beautiful and the background is a perfect accompaniment to it . Very soft shades and textures in the back and the text is just right.

My one criticism is that Rukia looks pasted on. I think you need to soften it a little against the colours in the background to make it come together.

I think the background fits really well, but one thing I would have done [if I could wall like you that is], would be to make more of the scale of the buildings in the background. That way they might loom over her making her look even more trapped .

I think you've transplanted the characters well, but there seems to be a lack of focus in the picture. The background looks a bit bland and makes it look as if they've just been stuck there rather than them being there naturally.

I do like the haze though.
